One reason, Michele, that more men are pro-lifers (assuming this is in fact true), without resorting to the 'control-of-women' explanation is simply that this is an issue that costs men nothing in terms of lost freedom of action. They are not ever going to personally be in a position to need an abortion. I wouldn't be surprised if one could identify a similar phenomenon at work in women outside of their reproductive years. (Of course, I could be wrong.)
