Its a moral duty for the management to be optimistic at this stage. Lets assume that you were the CEO of a satellite mobile phone operator and thought it likely that the business would end belly up (hypothetical of course), would you publicly claim that it's not gonna fly? Nope. The stock would crash, the access to debt freeze, the little chance that you may have had would be dead as a kiwi. AND you would get the axe before you could say "flop". - rajala
