Robert,

You should check out QCharts at "www.quote.com", It provides realtim Level I data (quotes, charts and T&S) also its provides Intraday charts back to 1997 and daily back to 1987 which is very helpful. It is fully realtime. It is about $80 a month though which is reasonable for true realtime application based quote systems. You may also want to check out DLJDirect, this would require you to open an account there and they charge a monthly fee (<$30) but they offer streaming quotes and I beleive T&S. There trading services seem to be decent as well.

Good Luck

See iqc.com

Real time quotes run about $40/month + lots of neat charts and technical screens.

Free Services (snap quotes)

Freerealtime.com
Datek Online after opening an account, also a RT streaming tool there.

RT + time & sales:

quote.com (http://quote.com/index.html) - quote.com plus ($25 + fees)
quote.com qcharts (~ $80 + RT fees for the exchanges, ~ $10)

This service is not free but nonetheless worth the money (especially qcharts).

IS.com

Disclaimer: I'm not an employee on any of these places but use these services. And I like qcharts very much.

Try www.tradescape.com for FREE L2 quotes. This is a temporary promotional thing and I think it'll be quite cheap (<$50/month) when it becomes a pay service.

hi bob, you should definitely give *mytrack.com* a try. very reasonable, and think you'll be very pleased with it's features and performance. they are still very new, have also trading platform, but only allowed to trade in a few states presently, with apps pending in another 41 states, to be approved , i believe.

you can track up to a hundred stocks in realtime, and upgrade your acct very easily from the site to live news feeds and other indispensible tools. one of the very best deals out there, anyone have any comments? here's the link:http://www.mytrack.com/

2dahloo, :-)

RE: looking for a quote service, just real-time quotes...

Give Medved QuoteTracker a try. Download it from:
quotetracker.com

It is a FREE Windows 95/98/NT program that provides Real-Time tracking of your stock portfolios using various real-time web sites that supply stock quotes. Live intraday charts with Technical Indicators, alerts, and historical charts will help your trading. The latest version adds news monitoring, portfolio printing, Island Level II quotes, inline chart period changing, user-defined views, symbol lookup, and many other enhancements.

If you have a brokerage account with one of the firms we support (DATEK is the best so far), it will cost you nothing. Otherwise, I recommend getting PCQuote ($9.95 per month + exchange fees) which works extremely fast with QuoteTracker. QT also supports some free quote services but they are nowhere near as fast as the brokers and PCQuote.
