if i remember correctly about oil change, one of the features of that software is that it searches the web for product updates and upgrades for your system, and then goes ahead on its own and installs them! things like new versions and new drivers.

for some folks, that's a blessing. they can sit back and let someone else do the thinking and the driving. but for others, that feature is utterly unacceptable! no way will they permit a program utility to automatically take over their pc like that.

like i say, i'm trying to recall if that is the cyber media product that does that. it seemed to be quite a controversial feature. norton utilities 4.0 or their system works 2.0 has the capability to go out onto the web and gather up all the stuff your system might need, but it then brings it to you and lets you decide what to install. i like that function better myself.
