rrman, it is not about changing opinion on the issue, it is more about defending your position... and hopefully learn about other side of the coin, or perhaps even discover that there is more than one coin in the world :)

You are right rrman. I have been a member of SI since 7/96 and I have NEVER seen anyone change their opinion about any subject because of what someone else had to say about it. The game on SI is to take a position and then try to change the opinion of everyone who disagrees with you even though you know that no one will. The fun is in the arguing, not the winning. Jim
