> But for you to suddenly become motivated to speak out against the NATO action,
without showing the least amount of compulsion to dedicate yourself to protesting
against ANY aggressive action by ANY nation, then I suggest that you are
displaying the same hypocrisy that you despise.

I wonder if you even bothered to read my post...

>They have become a haven for Serbian deserters while facing the possibility of the
Serb army units in their province launching a coup against Djukanovic and his gov't.

Who says?

> Montenegro is a prime example that Serbs and Albanians can live together since
there are already Albanians represented in the gov't and 6% of the people are
Albanian.

Serbia is a prime example of a multi-ethnic country of 26 different ethnic groups can live together in peace if left alone and not be economically strangled for more than a decade. Did you know that Ron? Do you know that there are over 100,000 Albanians in Serbia and those people also are against the bombing?

> The Montenegrin gov't remains the only viable alternative or opposition to
Milosevic. There is simply no way that NATO will stand by and see a coup
implemented by Belgrade.

This is what Nato wants to provoke so then they may have to find a better reason for attacking Yugoslavia. To me, it is treason when your country is being bombed and the Montenegran head of State visits the capitals of the people who are bombing your people...I am really surprised that they haven't been deposed yet!

FWIW

Ron,

Like you, I find the UN to be a black hole of bureaucracy. Unfortunately, it is the only such organization we have, and it does play a necessary role, if only as a forum.

It will reform itself if it wants to survive, and most members want it to survive, so changes will take place.

Back to Kososvo.

It seems to me that you view those opposed to the continuation of NATO's action as unrealistic pacifists, and/or apologists for Milosevic.

Yet, the largest Veteran's organization in the US is opposed to the continuation of this war, and I would think the majority of these people do not fit in these categories.

Only history will be able to judge if, in their persistance and by using the means they are using, NATO leaders were fools or statesmen.
