Ron, one big mistake NATO is making is assuming that the ethnic Albanians and Serbs can live together in Kosovo after the war is over.

That is a possibility. But we'll never know unless we try.

And the alternative is that Serbia and Albania will eventually come to blows over the issue dragging Greece and Turkey into the conflict along orthodox/muslim lines. I don't think any of us want to see this become a full fledge religious conflict.

The only way they'll get the chance to overcome this hatred is if there is an international buffer force and economic aid that will distract them from the economic problems and cultural conflicts.

But it's not going to be a cakewalk, that's for sure.
