I believe that Thomas Jefferson said it much more eloquently, and to the point, than you ever could. Do not try to improve on perfection. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!

I only disagree with you on one important point. Veterans (especially the war dead) of all wars fought by our country whether ultimately adjudged "justified " or not are worthy and deserving of honor. Our military is under civilian control. As we have seen all too often politicians can employ the military for the most cynical of reasons and for the best as well. However, in neither instance does the ultimate adjudication of the merits of a particular conflict reflect poorly upon those who understood and felt a duty to their country and answered the call, ESPECIALLY those who paid the supreme sacrifice. We would do well to remember this today above all days. JLA
