ND Holdings, Inc. Purchases Stake in Internet Services Company
MINOT, N.D., May 28 /PRNewswire/ -- ND Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NDHI - news), the Minot-based mutual fund management company, announced today that it has agreed to acquire fifty percent of Magic Internet Services, an internet service provider company that also is based in Minot, to enhance its internet capabilities. The owners of the company, Joe Uhrmacher and Steve Murphy, will receive a combination of cash and stock as a result of the sale. Magic Internet Services provides customers with secure transaction processing, e-commerce and Web hosting and other computer and programming services.

As a result of the acquisition, a new subsidiary of ND Holdings, Magic Internet, Inc. (MINT) will be created to offer similar and enhanced internet provider services. ''In addition to continuing to provide internet service to Magic's 3,400 internet and wireless customers, ND Holdings will be able to utilize this newly acquired expertise to provide additional internet services to shareholders and prospective shareholders of its mutual funds,'' said Robert Walstad, president of ND Holdings. He also stated that Joe Uhrmacher has agreed to provide his personal services full-time to MINT for 24 months.

With assets under management of $380 million, ND Holdings, Inc. is publicly traded over the OTC Bulletin Board under the symbol NDHI. With its subsidiaries, ND Capital, ND Money Management, ND Resources, and Ranson Capital corporation, the firm sponsors, manages and advises eight mutual funds. These include state-specific tax-exempt municipal bond funds in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma. The firm also sponsors an equity fund for growth, the Integrity Fund of Funds, which invests in numerous top-performing stock mutual funds and is in the process of developing an additional stock fund.
