More hilarious to me is that almost nobody who quotes the Bible has read the Bible. They quote Jesus religiously (pun intended) but don't stop to keep in mind that JESUS DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH! They read translations, they read books that various people have translated over the years in different ways and still disagree over the proper translation of various terms. People who try to make sense out of minute analysis of particular words or phrases are like scientists who toss a snake into a blender, spin it up, and then try to pull some eternal verity out of the fact that two particular scales got stuck together.

Chuzzlewit I can not give any logical answer just a guess. It seems to me it is a combination of brainwashing from youth, association, parental paradyms and the fact as you said that it permits them to think they can violate natures laws with no reciprocation.
