As for cleaning products, I think I could cope with the old fashioned stuff, Okay, I'll issue a challenge. Make yourself a tub of soap the old fashioned way and use only that soap for a month. Then repeat what you said and I will have immense respect for you. But my bet is a) you couldn't stand to make lye soap in the first place, and b) if you actually tried it you would understand why our ancestors preferred perfumes to bathing.
