I vote for the minimum $3 for a stock before we can post it here on this thread. We can create another thread for the below $3 Canadian stocks and do what Rande Is does and call it the fishing thread or something like that. When the stock is able to stay above $3 for a certain period of time (say a month) we can bring it here to discuss if it's a good daytrading type stock. All the 'other' crap should stay on the fishing thread, until it is no longer crap.

Lola:)

The Chief;

Can't tell you how pleased I am to see that you have not given up on this thread, but that you are looking for ways to restore it to its former pre-eminence. I would support your suggestion of a $3.00 limit, but do we not need some other yardstick to qualify a promising stock ? Perhaps profitability, or near-profitability should be part of the equation. A dollar limit alone will sometimes "qualify" a penny-dreadful that has been promoted in the extreme, but which has no real substance.

I'm sure that the collective wisdom of the true believers will come up with a workable plan to survive and prosper. I hope that with more experience under my belt, and knowledge gained from this and Keith's sister-thread, I will be able to make meaningful contributions in the future.

All the best to all!!

Great post Chief.....

I say set price at $2.00 minimum that will catch most of
the activity and eliminate a lot of penny stocks.

Chief:

Isn't there a $5 and under thread on SI (I don't have it book marked but I stumble upon it once in a while)? Can't this thread be the $5 and over thread? I know it won't lure Keith Massey back <gg> but its a start!

I am one of those who long for the days when people used to postmortem their day, talk strategy before open, and generally respected the thread's rules.

I, for one, would like to see this thread return to being the cream of SI. Remember folks, there is no "I" in team...except in French <gg>.

My vote is $2.00 My account can handle that and leave me room to trade a couple of stocks if the play is there. Chief you got my vote for whipping this TEAM back in shape. Will try to post more.

Well, I couldn't agree with you more Chief.

I don't begin to even look at a stock under 3.00
simply because of marginability. I try to use my
leverage where ever I can. I will play stocks under
3.00 for long terms but the .01 and 1/2 cent increments
totally throw me off my game. Plain and simple that larger
companies become alittle more predictable and tradeable
because of the economies of scale, more people follow
them and so on... Want to say more just can't think
of it cohesively right now, still need more coffee!

I really hope that we don't loose some , actually none
of the penny players, the party is a blast, maybe just
a little refocusing needed.

Best regards

IMO $5.00 and over given Ed started the $5.00 and under. Should be made clear in the title of the thread.
