The French AFP news agency, meanwhile, said the pipeline extended from Hijleij in western Sudan to Bashair harbour on the Red Sea coast in the east. It added that the pipeline's pumping capacity is 450,000 barrel per day as a maximum, while in the first stage it would ensure pumping of 150,000 bpd.
