TD, How've you been? A long time away from SI for me.

So I hear that SalesLogix is going Public. Well if there is to be a mid-market front office player with some sustainability then I would pick SalesLogix. They have a much more realistic model than say Onyx does, since SalesLogix actually has an indirect distribution channel. In addition, they have a well-designed product with an architecture that should allow them to move into the enterprise as their customers grow. It also doesn't hurt that much of their competition isn't executing too well lately. Their primary mid-market competitors are Pivotal, and Onyx, though Onyx is more targeted toward the customer support market. I have heard that Sebl is going after a lot of mid-market deals but I don't like their model for that (cost of sales, implementation, etc) and expect SalesLogix to do well. Sebl has the enterprise to themselves for a while and I prefer to see them focus on that.
