O. Media, Inc. Expands Presence in the Financial Industry
RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 1, 1999--The Board of Directors of O. Media, Inc. (NASDAQ OTCBB: OMDA - news) announced that it signed a letter of intent on May 27, 1999 to acquire two mortgage banking firms, Northeastern Mortgage Investment Corp. and Summit Financial Mortgage Corp., in a stock transaction.

O. Media will combine the two mortgage banking firms to form a wholly owned financial subsidiary, which will expand into the usage of the Internet for mortgage and consumer loans, in addition to credit card issuance.

The new subsidiary expects $10 million in revenues by year-end; increasing O. Media's projected revenues to $20 to $25 million within the next twelve months. The Board of Directors expects that subsidiary will expand O. Media's presence in the financial and Internet industries, setting it apart from other financial communications companies.

Anthony R. Cairo, currently CEO of Summit Financial Mortgage, will become the President of the new subsidiary. Mr. Cairo has been in the financial industry for over 18 years. Michael Beyer, currently President and CEO of Northern Mortgage Investment, will become the COO of the subsidiary. Mr. Beyer founded Northeastern Mortgage Investment in 1993 and has generated $200 million in mortgage loans. Dominick Arcamone, who assisted in the development of the FHA 203K and 203B programs of Summit Financial Mortgage, will become the Executive Vice-President of the new subsidiary.
