Mike, I read your post and I see a forest where there are no trees. For this discussion lets focus on production and consumption of goods. Also, to keep it as simple as possible lets say all predictions as we have discussed have come to exist, as follows: - USA stock market and economy crashes - Asian did buy all that gold and based their currency on it - USA dollar falls falls in value against gold The forest I see that will not let any trees grow is the government of countries like Japan, China and Russia. To me the government is a collection of people that are unable to be sucessful without using force. As long as government persons control the economy of a nation, then a free flow of activity cannot exist. China needs a billion tolit bowls and connecting sewers, so why does it not happen ? Its low technology and doable. Stupid for China to let foreign business bring in stuff as money leaves the country. But as we all know that economic reform without the ability of free thought to happen prevents progress. Seems that just so long that the top persons in China have good working tolits, then lets 99.9999% others suffer, and thus prevent any threat thru free thoughts. China controls thru a gun threat, and Japan thru brainwashing their citizens that groups decide, not individuals. Russians were given their freedom years ago, but they were conditioned for so long that every action needs to be ok'ed by the government, that all the Russian people did with their freedom was let it stagnate until it rotted. So, how to get these people to produce and consume goods for a good balance and high standard of living is needed, and requires a change in the way they see their governments control them. Doug
