As I said, people perceive news (information) differently. We are very fortunate to witness a big revolution going on. The casualty of this revolution is some of those less capable traditional brokers. I am sure that the top notch brokers will not be affected.
As for the price drop, I am glad that you have a long-term view. My thinking is if you look at this from a distance, the daily movement of the stock price is negligible. But there are people they stand too close to the price chart and any move becomes exaggerate to them. Keep my words, we are the house. Buy it, don't trade and will be rewarded.

What ML will do (I think) is to spin off their on-line division and let the disgruntled brokers own some pre-IPO shares. That move will make them happy.
