The key think to consider about DRDRAM vs. SDRAM is the pin count. DRDRAM has far fewer pins, which means that it is the only reasonable solution for a large number of applications.

Rambus offered no performance advantages over PC-133?

The electronicnews article said that;

"Sources said the decision was driven by a comprehensive study that indicated Rambus offered no performance advantages over PC-133 SDRAMS..."

How can that true? Any idea if this was an IBM internal study or a third party test?

Thanks
Brooke
