Agreed that it will be tough to catch up, but remember Microsoft's woefully slow entry into the net/browser arena. A whole slew of people characterized their effort as too little to late. I'm not sure that many would say that now. The jury is still out on AOL vs. MSFT (although I have a funny feeling that they will make strange bedfellows eventually). IBM not doing all that badly now either, with a new, redefined emphasis upon e-commerce services that will probably be a winner regardless of who wins the Amazon, EBAY, BUY.Com wars. It's a long race with room for several winners and some nice 5th place purses.
