Not meaning to intrude, but this is a response to Monkey-Bite's post on Raging Bull FYI, thought you might find it interesting. Monkey-Bite - I think you have a well thought post and I'll not argue about it, but wish to perhaps add some clarity or at least a possibility you may not be aware of. Since last October 5, 1998, there have been no weeks where there has been NET SELLING of shares into the float, or MM's inventory. Every week has been buying to a greater or lesser degree. Information derived from OTCBB.COM. Even in December and January there has only been net buy weeks. Since the time from 10/5/98 until 5/28/99 there have been 24.4M net shares bought out of the float. Now add that this past week was also a buy week I estimate (for now) of around 400k. Now add the long term investors shares that were bought and held from before 10/5/98 (there are some you know). Now add 16.5M shares in voluntary lockup. That accounts for over 41.3M shares of stock. Add some Stock Option Plan shares for Maria and Steven, maybe 3M shares (guess). Now we're at 44.3M shares, not counting holdings before 10/5/98. That leaves less than 5.7M shares unaccounted for. We know at least 900k are in 144's now, and they haven't sold (at least much apparently) yet. Could it be possible that these MM's have sold out of inventory and are unwilling to short under the circumstances? You know how hard it has often been to get orders filled for quite awhile now from an investors standpoint. Adding that into your analysis, how is the outcome affected? In short, I agree PNL can stand to do a lot of improving on how they take care of investors interests, (apart from the business plan which they have tended to masterfully). But the business remains and the buying continues. With as little information as is available it is easy to come to an erroneous conclusion without a lot of research. I contend that, in this case, the MM's dropping out may not be a red flag, but a green one. Am open to counter-reason. -Jim (Voluntary Disclosure: Position- Long; ST Rating- Buy; LT Rating- Strong Buy)
