Off topic -- political stuff

Just adding my three cents ...

Those who rob Peter to pay Paul can always count on the support of Paul.

In a democracy, the town idiot and the town surgeon both have one vote.

Politics is the art of convincing the electorate that the cost of your policies will be borne by someone other than the majority.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. Here, in Ontario, we're having a provincial election this week. We have a three way race: The Conservatives, the party who's policy is furthest to the right; the Liberals, who position themselves in the middle; and the New Democratic Party, who occupy the left. In the last few elections, all three have been given a chance to govern, so the voters have some idea what they'll be getting. Come Friday, we'll know the people's choice.
