My ten year old daughter caught a news cast in which it was reported that the zoo creatures in Serbia are suffering from the stress of the NATO bombing campaigns. The news showed that a Bengal Tiger had begun chewing its foot off. My girls were beside themselves with sorrow (Michelle must have gotten to them). The innocent creatures in the zoo got my daughter's attention where all my rantings about the grandmas in the nursing homes have not. Some how clinton overlooked that possibility. This is all part of the insidiousness of war. We must objectify the creature in order to violate it.
