In the short term I would tend to agree with your opinions. In addition to the appearance of some internal Novell political fights on product ownership and strategies, it is very clear that the Tech Sector has been in a long slow correction for the past few weeks. I dont think you have to wait for the correction - we have been in it for a while (at least as far as the tech sector goes).

My fear is that this might be the beginning of a very long correction and stale-out of the Tech Sector as a result of Y2K fears. My opinion is that investors have made plans several months ago that around the end of the first 1/2 of 1999 they will begin pulling their cash out of the sector to beat the anticipated Y2K decline. I think that is starting to happen now.

So I think NOVL's stock price slumping is not as much because of their own screw-ups as their stock is simply sliding with the rest of the sector. So I think your strategy of pulling out is wise as far as I am concerned.

Just my opinions folks.
