We use a two part strategy as a way of surviving this mad mania period;

1. Short only the "mortally wounded". By this, I mean quite literally only those companies that are in or about to enter chapter 11. The risk is acceptable when you KNOW that the debt holders will own everything within months. These stocks have been very good to me.

2. Maintain deep-out-of-the-money put options against my favourite tech targets. It doesn't cost a lot of money and hence one can afford to stay a long time. When they blow up, they really blow up and the profits more than make up for the cost of being patiently exposed.
