rumors are rumors.... I don't really pay attention to them because most of them don't address issues but personalities. Too many think that personalities drive business. I don't. Lane has been leaving (according to rumor) for a year and a half. So much for that rumor. ORCL's dominance has supposedly been undermined by competition over the last 2 years. Most information seems to say otherwise. So much for that rumor. The only rumor that has any support is that these are tough times for all DB companies....ORCL is not immune to industry weakness. But, even in tough times, ORCL is still pumping along. Until there is a warning (and there hasn't been yet), I have little faith in rumors. LE wouldn't ambush himself again by failing to warn. Annual earnings were revised downward, but some that have weak hearts. Quarterly earnings, as far as I can see at my online sources, have remained untouched.
