Hey, folks -- the latest short interest information -- now including May 1999. 05/99 Shares Short: 3,062,074 ADV: 4,614,381 Cover Ratio: 0.66 04/99 Shares Short: 4,959,278 ADV: 3,760,794 Cover Ratio: 1.32 03/99 Share Short: 4,529,187 ADV: 4,760,483 Cover Ratio: 0.95 Remember, the cover ratio is (shares short) /(ADV) Note that CMGI posted the 15th largest decline in shares short and the 8th largest percentage decrease in short interest. I think the cover ratio is at least at a 12-month low. These figures do not appear to reflect the split last week… I find these numbers rather bearish, since they imply that most have covered and there would be no short squeeze to propel us higher in the near term.
