CBS is a vital entity in the world that we know. A "national resource". Yikes. How far we've fallen if "Touched by an Angel" or "Diagnosis: Murder" is part of a "national resource". But even if their broadcast network is such a thing, I doubt anyone would call their cable channels a "resource", and that's what's more important, isn't it? Is The Nashville Network or that "Eye" thing they apparently offer as a must-carry on some systems so important to the nation's well-being that its allocation couldn't be put to some alternative use?
