RH: I own a HWP 6475Z with 466 Celeron and it works great and at the time I bought it I saved $300 versus a similarly equipped PIII 450. It is very quick and I have no complaints over the past month of ownership. Since I don't play a lot of 3D games or do 3D Graphics I didn't need the PentIII. The Japanese market moves to its own drummer and I believe that may be more skewed to 3D games than ours.
