Mike:

Well, there is a two way service coming this year in Europe(AstraNet) with a Ku uplink and Ka downlink. Astra is owned by SES, which has been chatting with Echostar, who in turn has been chatting with Loral, whcih just happens to own the Ka slot in between Echostar's two Ku slots. It also owns mucho slottage via SatMex in the same area between 109-119 that could do Ku. The possibilities are endless. There is also another initiative underway that would be a two-way blockbuster, but that is not close at hand. By the way, it doesn't involve Hughes.
