Linux Notes

Remember when www.pcfreecomputers.com had their links page up for scrutiny? (Me thinks they did not expect quite the level of scrutiny they got.) They linked to Compaq, Red Hat Linux (which will be IPO-ing shortly; Dell is an investor), slashdot.org (a terrific geek site and a center of Linux advocacy) and a couple of other places.

I think it is safe to say that Linux is going to end up in a LOT of free PCs from several vendors. Obvious reason: cost. I would suggest that one MIGHT follow the Linux bouncing ball... and see WAVX, at least in some cases, bouncing right along side.
