Now Snake...
I guess you are ready to short again. You know darn well that the information services usually don't adjust to the effects of pooling. Hell, yahoo had 4Q as $.18 for months because they used Q4 to catch up.

There is no question that Southern has not produced up to expectations but I still think the growth looks pretty good.

I put that link in because it shows what they reported in those quarters. In addition to those reported earnings, the nature of the acquisitions allowed them to adjust upwards the earnings of previous quarters.

In other words, without the acquisitions and without growth, it appears as though IFCI would have earned around 5 cents/share each quarter - giving about 20 cents/share for the year. Either the acquisitions were accretive or there has been growth, or both.

It may be that by the end of this year, after a couple more acquisitions, we will see IFCI earning 16 cents, 16 cents, 16 cents, 16 cents for each of the four quarters. And the following year, they may be earning 24 cents, 24 cents 24 cents 24 cents.

I suppose you can call that flat growth if you wish, but either way, in order to maintain just a constant P/E the stock must go up. And the current P/E is quite low relative to the industry.
