Ron,
Will there be such a thing? Why is that in Taiwan's interest? Even in their fantasy days of the 50s, when they expected--or claimed to expect--that they would imminently return to rule the mainland, the leaders of Taiwan never hoped to militarily defeat the communist regime. They merely hoped that the mass of people would rise up against Mao and make his regime untenable. When the Taiwan and China become one, each will say that they "won". IMHO.
