A few thoughts on NPSC. - Please listen to CEO Mark Blundell's interview @ wallstreetreporter.com (thanks, John!). In this interview he comments on NPSC's use of banner ads which contain video &/or audio. - Odds are pretty good that they are using Emblaze technology for Java Streaming banner ads. Emblaze is the only company that I am aware of that is producing java streaming banner ads (no plug-in required). GEO is the parent co. and their stock trades on the London Mkt. (LSE:GIM -and Mr. Blundell has a UK accent). - The Ampex Corp. (AXC) is evolving into a complete Web based "TV" network (with around 100 different specialty channels and production studios in LA, New York & Europe) and they are using this technology on several sites: aentv.com aentv.com (for a further demo click on the "South Beach model search" (A.K.A. "Silicon Central" !!!). - If you're still with us, here is the Emblaze homepage / SI page: jp.emblaze.com Subject 27131 - Here is an Emblaze video player with controls for Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Hue in addition to the normal Play, Stop, Pause & FF. webradio.com This player works great with my cable modem; I would like to hear how it works for people on a 28.8 connection. Looking forward to the time when I can junk my real player! I think NPSC has found a "killer ap" for their clients web related advertising. The video which is now available over the net (even with my cable modem) still is not very good because of the small image area. But as part of a banner ad it is a perfect fit. - finally, here is a post off of AXC's Yahoo board that contains a very interesting quote on Emblaze banner ads from AENTV's Drew Cummings: "...clients are very happy because they are receiving an average 7% click-thru rate , plus it's just plain "cool". As to the ad agencies getting it? Not yet in my opinion ".messages.yahoo.com I bought a little more NPSC on the MM walkdown right before close today, but folks don't buy because I did. Do your own DD (& don't forget AXC!). Jerry
