This is the reason why I like long term investing as opposed to short term. But sometimes, I get carried away by the thread and do some short term.

Johnd, Don't get carried away by any comments on this thread. I have been finding it very difficult to go into my short term options trading mode. Today, I finally bought a boatload of July calls late in the day. I stayed in the money at 70 strike price. I am just looking for a $5 to $10 bounce from these levels to get out of options. Good news from the trial or settlement or Office2k revenues could do it. I am hoping for 100 but will settle for 90.
If the stock drops down to 75, I don't really get hit that badly by staying in the money. Calls options are riskier than normal leading upto earnings in July. However, the other factors above should offset some of that---maybe increase volatility on options as well.

BTW-I am into a lot of MSFT stock (50%) but could not resist taking a bit of a gamble---to me 1 1/2 months to expiry for in the money calls is a lot of time to make some big gains--i hope.
