Yes Rupert, NWK is my largest holding 8500 shares average above $9. I do not see much downside when the company has that much cash and has been coming up off it's lows nicely for the last month and despite being down 15/16 today it is only retracing a bit of Fridays rise. The stock was bought heavily last week and their stuff must be working pretty well. They announced 3 contracts last month alone and then came in second place in market share as per the news story below: Dataquest Announces ATM Access Market Share and N.E.T. Takes Second Place WithPromina ATM Access FREMONT, Calif., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- N.E.T. (NYSE: NWK) announced today that Dataquest released its ATM Access market analysis reporting market share for 1998, and N.E.T. took second place with its Promina(R) 800 Series Multiservice Access Platform family. The N.E.T.(TM) CellXpress(TM) ATM Access module, which began shipping in December, 1997, fits inside any of the four Promina 800 Series models to adapt and aggregate voice, data and video traffic for transport via ATM services. Dataquest also projects that the ATM Access market, which was $260 million in 1998, should more than double by the Year 2000 and exceed $800 million by 2003 in a report titled "Will ATM Access Make it Big?" "Perhaps the strongest accelerating trend for ATM access is that it offers a strong solution for a real networking problem -- handling voice, data and video on a multiservice network," according to Tim Smith, principal analyst, Worldwide Networking, Dataquest. "ATM is the best choice for voice, data and video today based on the inherent ability to offer differentiated Classes of Service that can be planned for and managed. These are great benefits to service providers looking to offer sophisticated, aggressively priced services that can stand the scrutiny of Service Level Agreements." The N.E.T. CellXpress ATM Module, which is an internal option for the Promina 800 Series family, performs ATM adaptation and aggregation, based on the ATM Forum User-to-Network Interface (UNI) 3.1. The CellXpress module offers advanced capabilities such as support for 8 kbps toll-quality voice over ATM services, IP over ATM, frame relay to ATM interworking based on Frame Relay Forum standard FRF.5, and Class of Service support. The Promina 800 Series family also provides circuit switching, IP routing, frame relay switching and ISDN video switching on a modular basis. There are more than 25,000 N.E.T. multiservice switching systems serving network service provider, government, and enterprise networks globally. N.E.T., headquartered in Fremont, CA, is a leading worldwide supplier of multiservice wide area networks used by enterprises, government organizations and carriers in more than 75 countries. N.E.T. multiservice WANs and ATM products integrate voice, data, and video traffic with ATM, Frame Relay, IP and ISDN capabilities for today's mission-critical applications. The company is certified to the worldwide ISO 9001 standard for design, manufacturing and service. For further information, visit the first address in networking: net.com .
