MER will piss off a lot of their customers, I could almost see MER's system crashing every month due to overwhelming volume.(NOT!) MER can't win in a price war what they need is a image like E-Trade. MER & SCH both feeling the pinch right now knowing E-Trade, Ameritrade, and others are all stealing their business left and right.

SCH has 2.5MM accounts and they charge $30 a trade too... the point isn't do you pay $15 or $20 or $30 a trade -- which is really insignificant unless you're a hyperactive trader, and the Boomers aren't generally -- the point is are you happy with the products and services your OLB offers?
