Buying Opportunity

Consider all the bad (actually some are good) news all coming today:
1. Interest rate fear: the naysayer thought that the interest rate will kill the market. The flip side is that the market may have already discounted this by at least 50 basis point.
2. MER entering the OLB sector: the naysayer thought that more competition means bad news for E*Trade. But the flip side is the entry of MER actually validated the success of this business model
3. E*Trade bought Telebanc: the naysayer thought that E*Trade paid too much. But the flip side is E*Trade bought the know-how, infracture and time to market when it does not have the expertise in this arena. Actually this is very positive news to me even though the buyer usually trading down.
4. The internet sector AMAZON.COM bomb: The naysayer thought that all internet stocks are over-valued. But the flip-side is that not all bricks and mortar companies are undervalued either. I consider that OLB is the only viable internet e-commerce business to consumer model that actually WORKS (MER validated this point for me).

I am still amazed that all the above events came out today all at once. The interaction of the above news is very complex and the market, IMHO, is out of equilibrium so it generates some buying opportunities. Simply put, the fundamentals are still intact.
