Haim and Vitas, as the 'net bellwether, AOL is probably *the* most important stock in this market today. in terms of positive money-flow AOL is still top dog, which is a glimmer of hope in the current environment. still, this thing must turn here and now, or the bears will indeed have their day in the sun. from a contrarian standpoint the widespread negativity regarding the internet stocks looks almost like a buy signal; the danger imo lies in the possibility that the negative sentiment will continue to feed on itself to the point where automatic sell orders take over to satisfy margin requirements. this is a very real danger, and the term 'oversold' doesn't mean a thing if such a situation comes to pass.

regards,

hb

Haim - I think they only slaughter bulls and pigs 'cause they taste better. They have all that fat from high livin!

The bear, in contrast, has had to go through lean times and is likely to taste gamey and bitter <ggggg>
