Sorry, Benjamin. Firing Squad doesn't know what they're talking about. Let's just say that they're much better in giving advice on fragging your Quake III opponents online than analyzing the architectural features of upcoming x86 processors like the K7.

You might want to look at AMD's own K7 "foils", including this one:

The three FP execution units are FADD, FMUL, and FSTORE. FSTORE doesn't do any actual floating-point computations. It's there to do "other" operations related to data stored in the floating-point registers, among other things.
