LE, Re: "... why does this company keep shooting itself in the foot?"

There is a very simple explanation IMO:

.........they keep thinking it's someone else's foot. Duhhhhhh!

Expanding on your keen observations surrounding the PR....

Given the vast array of services and information provided by other HR web sites, I was enthralled by the PR statement "...He[Albi] further stated, "Because HRServ.com offers some proprietary features, we believe that we will have an edge over the existing competition.". [emphasis added]

I wondered what could possibly be "proprietary" (on the Firamada side) in the overall scheme of things. There seemed to be a short list: 1) trademarks (i.e. company/service/website names), 2) any sole source client/service contracts, and 3) copyrights on the page designs or "editorial" content. Other than that, there are lots of other companies providing broad spectrum resources, information, and services in one form or another. So, if anything develops, this should be interesting to see.

On a second note, I fully agree the .AOL contact is "sloppy", as is the fact that parts of the Firamada web site are not functioning properly at this time (i.e. empty pages for several days) but maybe they are updating them and can't figure what to publish there in the meantime.

Finally, in an aside to Jens, the overall structure of this PR probably indicates an Amature author leading the way now. Catch the "A"?

Why do I perceive glimpses of Fall '97 all over again????????

Begards,
Bob.
