From my old Honda, even Toyota pickups are a tough view. (Unless they've been "slammed" to within mere inches of the pavement by the local custom shops and the tailgate removed. But that hardly counts - they're still truuuuuucks...) A Dodge minivan is just not doable. It blocks my view like no car does. I can't peer over the roofline to see if the light five vehicles up has changed yet. Color me a carmudgeon. :-)

What sort of Toyota pickup did you have? The driver of a sedan behind mine looks pretty squarely at the lower part of the rear gate. You definitely couldn't look through it. But then it's a truck...
