I've been holding Checkfree for a while and following this thread, but still don't have a clear picture on exactly where their revenues come from and where they are expected to come from in the future. Can someone give us a detailed explanation in a single message?

Thanks,
Mike

Plausible scenario?:

One of the more reasonable posts from the Yahoo boards I thought. Anyone feel that CKFR can fit into this vision??

EGRP - The Model for Retail Fin Svcs

As I said in mid May (See Post 1295), look for the the virtual players to start their quest to deliver one-stop shopping. The new E-Trade/TeleBanc merger is that beginning. Look for the new E-Financial to acquire an on-line insurance provider and create a whole new pricing structure that no B&M financial company will be able to compete with.

Expect to see national advertising within a year for 4.00% CMA accounts that offer almost free internet stock trades and free online bill payment. And if you want transfer additional funds into a 5.50% money market account, just click your mouse. Also if you want a loan how does prime - 1.50% sound with funds approved in minutes and deposited into your CMA account also by a click of the mouse. How bout car insurance and homemowners insurance where you receive a 20% discount and all application is completed over the net. But you say that works with stock trading and insurance, but who would really want to bank with a virtual bank? You have to pay surcharges at ATMs, mail in deposits, and you can't meet with someone face to face::> Well the future is almost here; E-Cash will be downloadable from your PC, deposits will be converted to electronic format at PC, and communication with sales professionals will occur with broadband enabled Internet Video. It's coming sooner than you think!

The big players will be the new E-Financial (E-Trade + TeleBanc) and NetFinancial (Ameritrade + NetBank) and of course Schwab. They will be able to spend megamillions on national advertising and will be able to truly conduct one to one marketing with a wealth of information on each client. It's just so obvious!

Investment Tip: Wait for both AMTD, NTBK, and EGRP to correct another 20% over the next 2 weeks and buy and hold. 3 years from now you will thank me when we meet on the golf course after retiring!
