Benjamin, bump mapping is nice if the software writer uses it to the fullest. But quality 2D affects most EVERYTHING you might do with a PC outside of gaming.

IMHO, the G400 is a no-brainer if your monitor is bigger than 17". It's hard for me to understand why anyone would spend major money to max out a PC to play Quake REALLY fast on a teeny old monitor.
