These are the companies I like in this sector and not in any specific order:

CAM WFT APC APA RIG DO - if you do not own the sector, I would start my research with these. Of course, if you are very conservative I would start with SLB, HAL or SII.

On a second tier: UTI FLC FGI SDC MRL ESV SFY

For a longshot in the sector, I would buy some TCMS.

I own many, but not all of theses. There are different ways to play this sector and there are a lot of good companies that I've ignored for this response. Since it's really been beaten up badly, I would consider RIG as the "best" long term buy, but not necessarily the one I would consider for a short term position trade. I would look at those with the most liquidity for trading.

If I only had to choose one company, I would lean toward APC but I have to admit a slight bias towards this company. I think they are as solid as any in the sector.
