Benjamin. BUY.COM offers a full refund only on defective merchandise. Their site says: "Products must be returned within 30 days of the invoice date for a refund or replacement. All non-defective, opened returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee."

Don't expect a refund on their shipping and handling fees nor your cost of return freight. Since they charge $9.77 for ground freight on a single 2-oz. CDR, freight can add up fast. And if your experience is anything like mine with most every vendor, credit card reversals always seem to appear a month or two after the original charge.

CompUSA used to offer no questions returns for 30 days but that's history too. You really can't argue with their stand because an opened box is worth a lot less than a new one and requires time and effort to handle.

My advice is to know exactly what you want before you order anything. With your DSL line and reviews from Anand, Tom, Sharky and ZD, it's fairly easy to zero in on the the product that's right for you. In the end, everybody wins.
