Not past performance, but present and future performance. I invest to make money...I suspect this is why the vast majority of people invest. In this market, I really don't know of many stocks that are "good enough". However, there are always those stocks that perform in volatile and down markets. Of course, you can always short a stock if one thinks its going down. However, I don't short stocks.

By the way, I have previously stated that I think we are in a market correction that may take the Dow down to 9000 to 10000 before its over with and we then go to new highs.

I know "Dell is the next Dell", but it needs to get out of "sick bay" and heal before it starts to go up once again.
