Slava, most of the nets turned negative on the weekly oscillators, such as the MACD Oscillator, about three weeks ago. The last time this occurred, it took about 11 weeks from turning negative to turning positive. This would seem to concur with a 9-month low in the market in mid July, and perhaps the worst depths being about 3-4 weeks away.

Slava, I compared the nutz to the oil drillers (and the semi's of 1997) a couple of weeks ago to jerry berry and he said oil and internet blood don't mix.

i say they are the same thing - only the objects of momentum and speculation have changed (just another popular delusion -g-)

just look at the manic blow-off from october thru January in the techs and internets, the drillers had a V top and didn't require much distribution, however the nutz and tech required lots of distribution during a period where record public participation in individual stock purchasing took place during the internet broker blow-off from nov 98 thru april 99.

the failure for the nutz to turn in the face of so many contrary indicators and on good news stories don't look good.

I was looking at lots of charts last nite and many of the internets rallied back into the pivot of their triangles on Friday and now are selling off, this is what they did on the way up.

bb
