AT&T and INTERSAT Sign Cooperative Marketing Agreement

CALGARY, ALBERTA--AT&T Canada and Interfax Communications Ltd.
("INTERFAX"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Interprovincial
Satellite Services Ltd. ("INTERSAT"), announced today that they
have signed a Cooperative Marketing Agreement to offer one
another's technologies and services to their respective customers.
INTERFAX services to be marketed through AT&T Canada include
INTERFAX's patent-pending internet/IP-based fax transmission
services.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with an
organization of the size and quality of AT&T Canada in the
marketing of INTERFAX services", said Chris Schnarr, INTERSAT's
President. "We believe this constitutes an early but strong
validation of our business model, and it is through relationships
such as this that we will migrate our technology leadership into
market leadership."

Under the terms of the Cooperative Marketing Agreement, AT&T
Canada and INTERFAX will work cooperatively within Canada to
promote and sell their respective products and telecommunications
services, beginning with efforts focussed on the Western Canadian
market.

"There is a clear and strong migration projected for fax traffic
to internet/IP. With INTERFAX services, we hope to be able to
provide to our existing and potential customers an immediate path
for that migration", said Ken Sackley, AT&T's General Manager,
Business Services. "It confirms our leadership and drives value
for our customers".
