Sometime in late 2000, both for AMD and Intel. (Kryotech is aiming for a super-cooled K7 running at 1 GHz before the end of 1999, but I wouldn't hold my breath for such a "gee-whiz" machine.)

But hey, if you're lucky, you might be able to overclock a future Celeron to 1 GHz before late 2000. ;-)
