Thanks, Tae and Peter, but in truth I don't WANT faxes coming
in, except under my own terms. I can receive a fax if I
need to (start clunky fax service, wait around for fax,
receive fax, reboot because clunky fax service refuses to
stop and release modem -- all necessary because other
clunky modem-using software doesn't share modem).

But so far I am mostly successful at
beating up would-be fax senders. If I ever need more, I will
look into software for it.
